People have been asking and posting all around HOW TO CALCULATE NRR? So, I'll try explaining it in the simplest possible way.
Look, NRR is based on a simple calculation i.e
>> Team A (total no. of runs scored/total no. of overs played.) - Team B (total no. of runs scored/total no. of overs played.)
>> Team A (total no. of runs scored/total no. of overs played.) - Team B (total no. of runs scored/total no. of overs played.)
Now look at the total no. of runs scored by India in the league matches.
> Runs :
288(Zim)+307(SA)+104(UAE)+300(Pak)+185(WI)+260(IRE)=1444
> Runs :
288(Zim)+307(SA)+104(UAE)+300(Pak)+185(WI)+260(IRE)=1444
Overs Played : 50+50+48.66+36.83+39.16+18.83 = 243.48
RR/Match(Ind)
: 1444/243.48= 5.9
: 1444/243.48= 5.9
Now Let us have a look at the no. Of runs scored by Opposition : 224+177+259+102+182+287 = 1231
Total No. Of overs played = 300
RR/Match(Opposition) = 1231/300 =*4.13*
********************
TOTAL NRR: 5.9-4.1= 1.8
********************
TOTAL NRR: 5.9-4.1= 1.8
********************
NOTE :-
1) As India have bowled out their opposition in all the 6 matches so the total no. of overs played by them will be 50*6 as in case of all out the no. of overs played is considered to be 50 even if the team gets out before 50 overs.

2) No. of balls played in an over is considered to be in percentage like 1 ball/over= 16.6%
3)Wickets have no role to play in NRR until unless the match result was decided by D/L method.
Hope this helps
